Gene B. McClure has engaged in the private practice of law for over thirty years. Prior to forming the McClure Law Firm, P.C., he was associated with and partners at Atlanta and Washington, D.C. firms, and served as an adjunct professor at law at Emory Law School. Mr. McClure is admitted to the Bar of the District of Columbia, the
Bar and the federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He is active in services for state and national golf organizations, having served as President of the Georgia State Golf Association, and as a Director of the Atlanta Junior Golf Association and the Georgia Junior Golf Foundation. In 2008, Gene McClure received the United States Golf Association: Joe Dey Award for services to the world of golf. Currently, he is a member of the USGA Executive Committee. He is a Rules Official for the U.S. Open, Senior Open, Women’s Open and National Amateur Championships. In addition to his golf interests, he has been active in various community and civic organizations during his law career, serving as President of the Ansley Park Civic Association, co-chairman of the Midtown Alliance Public Safety Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Piedmont Park Conservancy. Mr. McClure received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Emory University with distinction and numerous academic honors. He was a member of Order of the Coif (law honorary), Omicron Delta Kappa (leadership honorary) and Editor-in-Chief of Emory’s Journal of Public Law.
